At Print and Proper, we are passionate about interiors and design. We believe anyone can create effortless style in their home and turn their space into a sanctuary. Not everyone can afford an interior decorator, so we curate & create the best imagery to help make your interior dreams a reality. We believe on-trend wall art should be accessible to everyone. This is why we set out to offer options to suit all budgets. Giving everyone an opportunity to revamp their space, affordably.

Our selection of art has always been thoughtfully curated to reflect the latest trends in interiors, fashion, destination travel, and home décor.  Our eclectic collection of prints showcases art and photography from around the world - by various graphic designers, photographers and artists (including our founder!), using a mixture of mediums such as watercolour ink, paint, pen, pencil, or digital.

Since the business was founded in 2017, we have grown exponentially. We boast an online presence around the world and are steadily breaking into new markets with our curated collection of wall art. We also offer a selection of accessories including luxe framing, poster hangers, wall pegs and wrapping paper. More to come soon including rugs and home décor! Our global network of factories allow us to make & ship your order quickly. Prints are made in the closest location to you where possible. They can be Made in Australia (NSW & VIC), New Zealand, UK (Surrey), USA (West Coast – Scotts Valley CA. East Coast – Highpoint NC) and EU (Netherlands). Commercially printed on art paper, we use sustainable materials and high grade anti-fade inks for the highest quality that will stand the test of time.

WHO IS PRINT AND PROPER?

Hello! I’m Jannet Serhan, Founder & Designer.

As a kid I was always drawing or painting something (Shout-out to ClarisWorks on the Power Macintosh!) or taking random photos in suburbia (purchased an Olympus C-60z with all my teenage savings... now valued at $50), to messing around with art supplies after school trying to make a masterpiece, without reading the manual. I failed at the masterpiece part. I started selling these ‘creations’ on eBay. Yes, people did buy them (surprisingly). I decided it would be a good idea to study graphic design. Off I went to read the manual. Graduated & started working, and working, and working. Worked at different companies in fashion & apparel graphic design. Mostly clothing / accessory brands. Somewhere along the line, I got bored of pasting graphics onto t-shirts from style guides (except you Pikachu, I will always choose you!). Decided to start messing around with paint and photography again on weekends. Loved it. Left my job soon after. Very responsible move.

Print and Proper started with only a handful of designs in 2017. Lots of hard work and sleepless nights followed. A few years later - it’s now a proudly Australian owned and operated brand with international distribution.
